In order to take adequate precautions for a possible nuclear contamination of nature, it is also important to have enough drinking water for a family of 4. With a required amount of 1,000 liters of drinking water per year for the entire family and an absolute lower limit of about 300 ml of water per person, the family should have the following supplies:
– a family of four with an annual water supply of 1,000 liters can drink 0.6 liters of water per person per day
– The minimum annual water requirement for 4 people should not be less than 440 liters
It is therefore advisable to have everything ready for such an incident and to stock up on 1,000 litres (4 people) of drinking water in order to be prepared for an emergency, especially in rural areas where the chances of survival are potentially higher.
